Massachusetts Futsal Association History

In 1998, Mike Resnicow of Newton founded InSoccer, singlehandedly mounting a grassroots effort to introduce the Commonwealth to futsal. The winter of 1999-2000 saw futsal's first formal league play in Massachusetts, at venues from Newburyport to Natick to Brookline to the South Coast. Sadly, Mike passed away not long after the amazing success of the inaugural futsal season.

After his death, Paul and Theresa Dupre acquired InSoccer from the Resnicow Family and quickly worked to continue Mike's dream. From 2000-2004 the Dupre family was responsible for the enormous growth of the sport in Massachusetts. They synthesized many aspects of the program into the strong program it is today are are greatly responsible for the success of futsal in the Commonwealth.

In 2005 the Dupre family hired Jason Miller to run the day-to-day operations of InSoccer and his role expanded ever since. In 2006 Jason adjusted the organization's name to Massachusettts Futsal, and at the conclusion of the 2009 season the Dupre family passed on InSoccer and Massachusetts Futsal to Jason, who is excited about leading the program into the future.

Massachusetts Futsal is part of the Super F League, headquartered in Kansas City. Both programs continue to grow as coaches, parents and most importantly players, fall in love with the world's best indoor soccer option.
