The Massachusetts Futsal Academy focuses on increasing each player's confidence and ability on the ball and their technical ability to dribble, control and pass the ball. Our training uses the smaller, heavier, stickier futsal ball, which provides players with more touches and helps them improve in the above areas.

All U8 academy sessions will take place Saturday mornings in Brookline. Participants will receive a minimum of 30 minutes of training with our Academy Director and professional coaching staff, followed by participation in our 3v3 league, which includes 45-50 minutes worth of small-sided futsal.

Each session will focus on a different technical skill. Participants also receive an academy shirt and a size-three futsal ball.

General Information:

• separate academy options offered for older players

Session One: 11/19, 12/3, 12/10, 12/17, 1/7, 1/21, 1/28

Session Two: 2/11, 2/18, 3/3, 3/10, 3/17, 3/24, 3/31

Times: Academy Session will generally begin at 8 am with 3v3 league beginning 30 minutes thereafter

About the Director

Jeff Lamy enters his first year as Massachusetts Futsal Academy director and his second as a Massachusetts Futsal staff coach. He will serve as head trainer for all academy sessions and oversee the 3v3 league, in addition to his role as a state futsal team coach. Jeff is one of the of the most experienced and decorated futsal coaches in the northeast. His teams have won multiple league and regional titles, and he was named 2010 Girls Coach of the Year. An NSCAA Advanced National licensee, Coach Lamy has extensive experience working with young players. He is the director and head coach of the PASA FC Academy and a staff coach for the organization. He also serves as boys varsity soccer coach at Methuen High School. Jeff played intercollegiately at the University of New Haven and the University of Lowell. He lives in Lowell.
