The Massachusetts Futsal Association has announced that professional futsal coach Luis Fernando Paes de Barros will present a coaches workshop and player clinics this month.

Paes de Barros currently serves as the technical director of Agleymina Hamamtsu of Japan's F League. He will lead a coaches workshop on April 18 and 20 and player clinics on April 21.

"Massachusetts is a futsal hot spot in the USA and I am very excited with this opportunity to visit the Massachusetts Association and work with the local coaches and players." Paes de Barros said.

Having previously served as a coach in the youth academies

of Palmeiras FC and Santos FC in Sao Paolo, Brazil, Paes de

Barros helped cultivate some of the best young futsal and

soccer players in the world.

Massachusetts Futsal Association Director of Coaching
Jeff Lamy. "His experience with both youth and

professional players and knowledge of the game is

exceptional."

Paes de Barros will lead three two-and-a-half hour player
clinics, all on Friday, April 21 at the Tyngsboro Sports Center.
He will lead a two-night coaches workshop on Tuesday,
April 18 and Thursday, April 20 at Nashoba Brooks School
in Concord.

"The workshop will be an excellent opportunity for coaches of all experiences to increase their knowledge of the sport and gain insight into the techniques and tactics used at the professional and youth levels across the world," said Jason Miller, Director of the Massachusetts Futsal Association.

"Youth futsal has a long tradition of helping develop some of the best soccer players in the world," Paes de Barros said. "Besides that, futsal is not just a tool to develop soccer players, but a great sport. Futsal increases every year with great leagues and players around the world."

Other spring futsal programs include guided youth pickup for players born in 2005 and 2006 and adult pickup for adults and high school players.
